Accra, April 28, GNA - Unilever Ghana has rewarded its key distributors for their excellent performance in 2016 with Osei Akwasi Boakye Company Limited emerging the overall winner for the year.
The award was to recognise the distributors for their contribution in promoting the brand.
The best key distributor for 2016 Osei Akwasi Boakye Company Limited also won the Target and Growth Achievement for Modern Trade Silver category.
Koala Shopping Centre with the Target and Growth Achievement for Modern Trade, Gold and Power Hydraulics Ltd achieving the Bronze category.
For the Coverage Expansion 2016 Award category, Nan Company Ltd took home the Gold category, followed by Bisvel Distribution Services with silver category and Charlithness Enterprise for bronze.
The Long Service awards went to Opoku Trading Company Ltd, Araba Afram Enterprise, Nan Company Ltd and Muntari Hamidu enterprise for distributing Unilever products for 20 years.
Others were; Alzuphar Company Ltd and Cletus Soglu Enterprise with 15 years and 10 years of Unilever distribution respectively.
Yeo Ziobeieton, the Managing Director of Unilever Ghana, said the distributors' award was a way to recognise the important role of Unilever's distributors over the years to make Unilever a preferred and accepted brand.
He urged the awardees to work to build an even stronger brand to ensure Unilever stayed on top.
He added that their hard work would also help to create employment for numerous Ghanaians.
Managing Director of the overall winning company, Osei Akwasi Boakye Company Ltd, Mark Osei Boakye pledged his commitment to work diligently to ensure it retained the award in 2017.
