The Flag bearer of the Independence Peoples Party (IPP) Percival Kofi Akpaloo has highlighted his intention to go into Viagra production to create jobs for the unemployed in Ghana.

The sexual enhancement drug production, the presidential hopeful believes is a major untapped area which holds promising job creation prospects for the unemployed graduates.

Speaking on Ultimate FM’s late evening political show Fact File, Akpaloo told Host Julius Caesar Anadem that the Viagra project forms part of his projected US$10 billion job creation fund he proposes to set up when given the nod as president of Ghana.

According to Mr. Kofi Akpaloo, water melon rotting away in areas including Nkoranza, Techiman, Mampong, Ejura and Sekyere Dumase could be processed into Viagra through value added processes.

Tutoring on the components of this concoction, he explained that “when you pick the water melon, and then you add carrots, and then you add cucumber, you can drink it, and if you are not able to have sex or you are unable to erect, you will be able to start erecting’.

Akpaloo expressed concern that Ghana has failed to identify products for value addition that could fetch her the needed income.

“We have a lot of mangoes around and we are throwing some away because they will be rotten. It’s the same with pineapples and oranges. But in Europe all these could be put to the production of Jam production,” he pointed out.

Kofi Akpaloo also indicated that the youth of the country could enter into leather making to cut back on the number of shoes and bags imported into the country.

He is promising to woo Ghanaians in the diaspora to invest in his job creation fund which he says will provide the capital that young graduates need to get into agribusiness and other value addition ventures.

The Accountant turned Politician is also promising to pay children child benefits of GHC50.00 and GHC100 monthly as benefits for job seekers.

After failing to make significant inroads in the 2004 Manhyia parliamentary elections and the 2012 presidential elections, Akpaloo is optimistic his party has the right policies attractive enough to win the hearts of Ghanaians in the upcoming national polls.
