Last year is considered by many cryptocurrency observers as a good year for virtacoin. It posted a cool 400% growth in value.
For the better part of 2015, the price of virtacoin remained at 0.00000001 (one satoshi). In September of the same year, the value jumped twice to three satoshi. By the close of 2015, the value had stabilised at 0.00000004 (4 satoshi). At a point the value moved to 0.00000007 BTC (7 satoshi) on coinmarketcap.com, a cryptocurrency price analysis platform.
According to crypto-coin analysts, there is still a huge opportunity up for grabs as far as VirtaCoin is concerned.
From a low of $200 in early 2015, Bitcoin made over 100% gains, closing the year at $430+. A cursory look at this makes Bitcoin an obvious choice for an investor. However, according to market watchers, there is a far better choice for investment in cryptocurrency than Bitcoin and that is investing in Virtacoin. A case study of a man who bought an equal amount of both Bitcoin and Virtacoin at the time both coins were at their lowest price last year is illustrated below.
The man, in 2015, bought 1 Bitcoin at $210 and also bought $210 worth of VirtaCoin at 0.00000001 BTC (1 satoshi). In other words, the man had 100,000,000 virtacoins which was equivalent to 1 Bitcoin. By the end of 2015, 1 Bitcoin was selling for $430.
The man had made $220 profit on the one Bitcoin he had bought earlier in the year. On the other hand, the price of virtacoin, which picked around September, 2015 ended the year at 0.00000004 (4 satoshi). The 100 million virtacoins, which was equivalent to 1 Bitcoin at the time of purchase, closed the year valued at four (4) Bitcoins. With one Bitcoin closing 2015 at $430, the 100,000,000 virtacoins also closed the year at $1720.
Clearly, the man made more money holding onto Virtacoin than to Bitcoin. At the time of writing this article, Virtacoin has been holding at 4 satoshi with a dollar value or $0.000017 and Bitcoin is at $434.09. What if the man holds onto his Virtacoin till it rises in value to $0.02 or about 0.00005067 Bitcoin (5067 satoshi)?
Bitcoin presented such an opportunity to many in 2009 but few heard or knew about it. The opportunity presented by Bitcoin in 2009, is now being presented in virtacoin. To take advantage of this opportunity is entirely a personal choice.
VirtaCoin is a decentralized crypto-currency, like bitcoin. In fact, it is based on the same codebase as Bitcoin, so it works almost exactly like it.
In December, last year, a group of people in India started selling physical products with Virtacoins as the only medium of exchange. This was a great Christmas and New Year gift for Virtacoiners.
There are hints that EBAY will start accepting Virtacoin in the very near future. Though this cannot be independently confirmed, the virtacoin community is waiting with bated breath to see how this development puns out.
