Ghanaian business magnate and a former member of the Council of State, Alhaji Asoma Banda has stated that the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo can never be President of Ghana.
According to him, the twice defeated Presidential candidate lacks the wisdom, intelligence and structure to lead the West African nation.
“The truth is he [Nana Akufo-Addo] can never be president…You see, to be a President, you must have certain structure, intelligence,” he told Kwesi Pratt Junior on TV3's Hot Issues, which is scheduled to be televised Saturday.
He added: “People take certificates from university to be intelligence, No. you must have the wisdom”.
Akufo-Addo is seeking to become president of the oil producing nation after failing in his last two attempts.
Alhaji Banda added that it is strange people want to represent a constituency in Parliament when they do not live in that constituency.
According to Alhaji Banda, instead of the Job 600 building, offices should have been built for MPs in their respective constituencies.
"There are people in this country who want to even go to Parliament Kwasi, they don’t have a sleeping place in that constituency and you want to be the father of the constituency.
