NDC youth Activist Congratulates Sidii Abubakar

It’s been a year in office as national youth organizer of the NDC. The idea to become the national youth organizer of the party and how it was conceived is left to the man Sidii Abubakar Musah to answer.

The message; “RISING HOPE FOR THE YOUTH”, was the song we sang together before the polls on 6^th December 2014. Prior to that, the call for change was so massive and the youth of the party could not wait to effect that change.

Well, after enduring what one would describe as “Armed chair leadership”. One would have thought that there was the need for change and that the man Sidii Abubakar Musah was the right man for the job.

The youth front of the party had experienced total neglect and the despondency was so much. In 2010, after a failed attempt to lead the youth front of the party, he re-energized himself, with the message everyone wanted to hear and the popular slogan “RISING HOPE FOR THE YOUTH”.

At a point, before the election on 6^th December 2014 to elect the youth organizer, most of the constituency youth organizers could not tell who the national youth organizer was.

That was a sad story and indeed one would have realized that the “neglect” and the despondency within the youth front was a cancer that should not be allowed to grow. However, the cry and thirst for change was something one could not do away with.

Finally, the day arrived. And one would equally recall that on that day many things did happen. One is the poor organization and late start of the process. God being a faithful God, Sidii Abubakar Musah emerged the winner of the polls.

He assumed office as the national youth organizer of the party and in his victory speech; he was succinct in outlining his vision.

Today is one year after being elected into office and he’s been instrumental in leadership. He has played a key role in uniting the youth front of the party. How? Only a few days ago, he inaugurated the NDC YOUTH WORKING GROUPS, which saw virtually all those who contested in the last youth congress as part of the various committees.

That was a sign of good leadership with a sense of purpose. He needs to be commended for such a great initiative.

I wish to congratulate him on this day for the quality of leadership he has shown so far. If given the opportunity to make any rating, I will give him 8 out of 10 and we as youth of the party hope and pray that he continues to work tirelessly for the betterment of the great NDC party and also help in achieving the agenda 57% target for H.E John Dramani Mahama.
