Amezss Calls For Assistance As They Mark First Speech Day In 36 Yrs

Headmaster of W.B.M. Zion senior high school, Mr. John Kofi Beantey Jnr has appealed for assistance in order to help raise the image of the institution to provide quality education. He has however commended government of awarding contracts to build structures for the school.

made this known at Akyem Tafo in the Abuakwa north constituency of the Eastern region during the first ever speech and prize giving day since its establishment in 1979.

"We have been operating from rented premises over the past thirty-six years until recently when government awarded contract to construct school blocks at our new site which is progressively ongoing" he stated.

He said the school over the years has produced prominent personalities across the country including politicians, businessmen, journalists, teachers as well as nurses just to mention few.

"I am therefore appealing to past students to also remember their alma mata and support in its activities" he added.

Chief of Akyem Tafo, Osaberima Adusei Peasah commended his predecessor, Nana Oklubani for allocating vast land for the school which is now being used to construct bulidings for the school. He assured the school of his outfit's continious support to the school since it is the only SHS within the area and also called on coperate bodies, NGOs, philantropists and individuals to rally behind the school to make it one of the best in the region.

Regional Director of Education, Madam Rosetta Addisson Sackey commended both past and present, board, staff and all stakeholders for their hardwork and dedication. She urged teachers to take their lesson notes seriously since it is one of the criteria to get promotion under the Ghana Education service.
