
Mr Jim Yao MORTI, a parliamentary aspirant in the KETU SOUTH constituency who was disqualified and recently suspended from the NDC, is seeking to place an injunction on the parliamentary and Presidential primaries of the ruling NDC in the KETU SOUTH constituency.
Mr. Jim Morti who was disqualified and suspended from the party on various cases of criminality is asking the courts to place an injunction on the elections until the vetting committee explains to him why he's not been allowed to contest, in his statement of claims, he amongst other things stated that his rights were violated when the committee failed to properly communicate to him his purported disqualification.
He, therefore has dragged before the courts, the NDC, chairman of the regional vetting committee, the general secretary, the national chairman and the incumbent member of parliament Mr Fifi Kwetey.
Meanwhile, Mr Morti have been suspended from the NDC effective November 13th, 2015.
His suspension letter which was signed by the regional chairman and copied to the General Secretary, NDC Volta parliamentary caucus, the constituency Chairman.
