Accra, October 12, Accra Mail -- The incumbent NPP Member of Parliament for Okaikoi North Mr. Joseph Darko-Mensah was manhandled by an angry mob at the party's constituency office last Saturday.
But for the timely intervention of the police he would probably have been hurt. The mob accused the MP for taking negative steps, which they said, could "put the fortunes of the party at risk".
One of them told the ADM that the MP created a mess in the party, including his failure to concede defeat in the recently held primary, which Mrs. Elizabeth Sackey won.
"Apart from this Darko-Mensah went ahead to dissolve the constituency executives whilst the party's constitution does not give an MP the right to do that".
