It is said that when something is too good to be true then it must be too good to be true. This, however, does not seem to be the case for bitcoin and virtacoin.
Virtacoin, the one year old cryptocurrency, that launched on 1st July, 2014, now has a market capitalization of $55,565.00 as of 15th August, 2015 and a 72.92% upward price adjustment in dollar terms in the last 24 hours to 15th August, 2015. This is a positive sign.
A year ago, this month, the market capitalization of virtacoin was about $57.00. Bitcoin on the other hand has a current market capitalization of $4,161,655,561.00 having six years under its belt. Would virtacoin get there? It is a possibility.
Anyone can flog the concept of cryptocurrency or ignore it outright, but the truth is that for the market capitalization of virtacoin, there may not be any plateau in site yet. Roger Ver, an angel investor and a champion of the spread of bitcoin has predicted that in the next five years, one bitcoin could be sold at $50,000.00 and that 1 billion people will be using it.
In the unlikely event that nothing happens to virtacoin, if bitcoin gains in value up to $50, 000, then as little as 2000 virtacoins will be equivalent to $1.00. However, that is just a worst case scenario. Virtacoin has its own vibrant community where its members are contributing so much to developing the coin as a parallel to bitcoin, both in mainstreaming and in value.
How should people react to this situation? One; just ignore these entire hullabaloo about virtacoin, bitcoin, cryptocurrency, rainbot and the blockchain. Do not read anything pertaining to cryptocurrency. Ignore any headline that has to do with it. However, if you have read this article up to this time, then you must have some love for virtacoins.
