The incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma North Constituency in the Greater Accra region, has lost his seat to new face Hon. Nana Akua Owusu Afriyeh.
Hon. Justice Joe Appiah polled 184 which indicated he was far away from the challenge since he could not even be seen as the closest contender.
His rival Nana Akua Owusu Afriyeh polled 315 while her closest contender, Kofi Ofori aka Bella, who happened to be the former constituency chairman who resigned to contest, chased up the new face with 305 votes.
This clearly made Nana Akua Afriyeh to win with just a close call of 10-votes.
In all, 835 delegates registered while 805 out of the total number voted.
Kofi Ofori accepted defeat extending his heartfelt gratitude to the NPP delegates and pledged to support his Parliamentary Candidate-Elect, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyeh.
