Tema, Aug. 24, GNA - A 22-year-old woman has appeared before the Tema Circuit Court 'B', for allegedly attempting suicide, because her husband has jilted her.
Victoria Osei, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, was granted 80 million cedis bail and would re-appear on September 1, 2004.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor told the Court presided over by Mr Stephen Teye that, Victoria refused to cook supper for her husband on August 17, this year, whom she had accused of going in for another woman.
He said the husband of the accused trailed her wife to a bush where he prevented her from hanging herself with a rope. The police later arrested Victoria.
