Aspiring National Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the party's General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has lost respect in the NDC.
Kofi Adams stated that the party's scribe who hitherto was seen as a rallying point in the party has lost “a lot of respect from many people in the NDC” after threatening to leave the party if his preferred candidates are not retained in office.
Speaking on Asempa FM's "Ekosii Sen" programme Thursday, the Deputy General Secretary explained that his boss became all powerful in the NDC because he was loved by many.
“One of the reasons a lot of people respected him [Mosquito] in the party was because he wanted the party to be a party that can live and grow beyond its founder”.
But Kofi Adams stated that Asiedu Nketia lost that influence when he decided to establish another cult for himself.
He noted that the General Secretary's decision to be powerful like the founder Jerry Rawlings “was one of the biggest mistakes he made”.
“Our General Secretary should not be [more] powerful than the party [because] nobody is more powerful than the NDC not even the president” he stressed.
Kofi Adams said no one can dictate to anyone to vote a certain way because “delegates are wise and they know what they want”.
He noted that elected officers of the party are servants thus should be ready to work with anybody elected by the delegates.
Kofi Adams was confident of winning since “the party people have endorsed me to be National Organizer”.

Never thought Mr Asiedu-Nketia commanded a molecule of respect in his serving capacity as the General Secretary of NDC party. This man lacks common decency to serve in any public office, I do not see what prompted NDC to select this demented individual to be a General Secretary in the first place, the party deserves better.
