You Are A Winner

You Are A Winner

How would you feel if God was to appear to you and told you your national team at the world cup would be winners before the competition begins?

It would be a feeling of joy throughout the tournament because, before the kick-off you know what would happen. That knowledge would definitely change your attitude towards each game your team plays and no matter how tough the situation might be at any time, you have no fears since the outcome is known to you.

God's Word tells Christians that, 'Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.' Romans 8:37. This means that, in all things Christians are winners, a great news that should excite every Christian and give them joy in the face of any challenge that comes their way.

The Lord goes on to assure us in His Word that, 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' Ro 8:28. These are strong assurances from God to His children that, in all things the outcome would be in their favor.

A deeper look at these verses reveals a pre-determined outcome of whatever would happen to the believer who commits his/her life to the Lord in all its entirety. God knows the end from the beginning and says things based on His omniscience (all knowing nature).

Isn't it wonderful we have a God who knows all and gives us a clue as to what the outcome of our situations would be even before they happen? Isn't this enough assurance to keep us confident and unwavering in the face of challenges and difficulties in today's world?

It is strange and, I believe, very annoying to God to see Christians who profess Christ, making the same complaints as those who have no God; it is equally annoying and insulting to God for Christians to live a life of fear when God has already assured them of how all things would end up for them.

With all these assurances from a God who never fails, we still have Christians who live in defeat and fail to declare the victory they have in Jesus Christ whose word tells us in 2 Co 8:9 that, 'For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.'

The Word did not place economic conditions here as some believers' attitude portray; they want to see improvement in the economy, good conditions around them before acknowledging that they are overcomers.

That you are victorious or overcomer has nothing to do with the economy or the present state of the economy of the country you live in. Bible says, 'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.' Philippians 4:19.

God is caring and loving but because we do not take time to get to know Him better we don't see what He is doing for us. He is not man to lie and whatever He says is Yea and Amen, so why do we live like orphans in the world instead of people who have a God.

If only Christians would acknowledge and believe in it with their heart and demonstrate it in all their dealings, God would prove Himself faithful in their lives and glorify Himself at all times.

God has made provision for all the needs of this world and more so those who put their trust in Him. There is nothing beyond His ability.

The only problem with us is that we lack faith in Him or we just allow the enemy to bully us. Some Christians do little about knowing Him better and this weakens them into losing faith when they face greater obstacles.

This is the time to believe in what God says about us: we are more than conquerors, no matter the situation we find ourselves in.

Also, whatever happens to us, God is in control and ensures that all things end up in our victory and success.

Don't panic; don't be shaken; the Lord has already declared who you are from the beginning; You are more than a conqueror. Take it or live as a loser when your victory is already secured.
