Bibiani (W/R), April 23, GNA- The Ghana Health Education Initiative (GHEI), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai district on Thursday presented large quantities of medical items worth about 72 million cedis to the Bibiani Government Hospital.
Making the presentation, Miss Diana Richard, founder of GHEI, said the gesture was the NGO's contribution towards the enhancement of health delivery in the district.
She said it was the desire of the organisation to offer the necessary assistance to institutions to hasten the socio-economic transformation of the district.
Dr Francis Boakye Takyi, the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District Director of Health Services, who received the items on behalf of the Western Regional Health Administration, commended the donors for the immense contribution towards health delivery in the district.
Mr Christopher Addai, the District Chief Executive, expressed his appreciation to the organisation for its concern for the improvement of health delivery in the area and said it had come at a time when the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) was being implemented.
