
Esperance's Ghana defender Harrison Afful will miss the first match-day of the 2014 CAF Champions League Group stage due to yellow card accumulation.
The versatile player received his second yellow card of the competition in the 3-0 win over AS Real Bamako in the final qualifying round on Sunday.
He picked up a card during the 1/16th stage qualifier against Gor Mahia.
Afful scored the third goal in the 86th minute and set to play in his fifth consecutive CAF Champions League money stage campaign.
Esperance will join Club Sportif Sfaxien (Tunisia), TP Mazembe (DR Congo) AS Vita (DR Congo) Al Zamalek SC (Egypt), Al Hilal Omdurman (Sudan), Entente Sportive de Sétif (Algeria) Ahly Benghazi (Libya) for the 29 April draw.
