Bank of Africa Assists KMA

Bank of Africa Ghana (BoA) has donated some items to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to support sanitation programme at Sokoban, a wood village in Kumasi.

The items included wheelbarrows, rakes, spades and protective gear and other sanitation tools.

The donation of the items would boost quarterly clean-up exercise of the BoA Sokoban enclave where the bank operates.

Ishaque Coffie, Regional Manager for Outstation branches of the bank, said the bank believes there is a relationship between a healthy community and business growth.

He said Bank of Africa Ghana was happy to donate the items to facilitate the cleaning of the enclave.

Reverend Fugah, the chief of the Sokoban Wood Village, expressed his gratitude to officials of Bank of Africa Ghana.

He said, 'We are most grateful to Bank of Africa Ghana for this gesture. Indeed, they have proven to be pacesetters by coming to our aid.'

Representatives from the bank included staff of the Sokoban Branch, headed by Ishaque Coffie and Osei Hyeaman.

Others included representatives from the bank's Head Office, staff of Sales Co-ordination Department, Stephen Sowah, Frank Ampofo, as well as a member of the Marketing and Corporate Communications Department, Elaine Fynn.

Adu Afful, Administrator of the KMA,  some leaders of the Sokoban Wood Village, led by Kwasi Amedonu, Goldstreet Real Estate Consult  received the items on behalf of the enclave.

Bank of Africa Ghana has recently undertaken other CSR activities such as adopting an orphanage at the SOS Children's Village in Tema.

The bank has also made donation to Accra Polytechnic in support of their 12 th Congregation and sponsored the 25 th Biennial Conference of the Ghana Science Association.

Bank of Africa Ghana Ltd is a member of the Bank of Africa Group, a pan-African Bank, which has presence in 15 African countries and also in France.

The Bank has 14 branches in Accra and Tema with another five branches in Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale.
