Red Bull BC One Finals Arrive In Middle East Africa

Amman, Jordan, 28th August:The countdown to Seoul continues. Red Bull BC One, the world's leading one-on-one B-Boy World Championship, will hold its third Finals this Friday, August 30 at The Odeon Theater, in Downtown Amman, one of the most impressive monuments of the city.

The ancient Roman Amphitheater will provide a striking platform for modern B-Boys to battle their way to the Red Bull BC One World Finals. Because of the steepness of the theatre, every seat in the house is perfect for witnessing the action. Viewers from around the world can tune into watch the livestream at redbullbcone.com.

The evening will be hosted by Holland's Mario Bee and Jordan's own MC Thaer, with France's DJ Cléon on the decks and Red Bull BC One All Star Pélézinho on the judges' panel, joined by B-Boys Lagaet and Niek.

This is the second Middle East Africa Finals event for the Red Bull BC One, which has seen incredible growth in the number of B-Boys dancing across the region. The top 16 B-boys in Middle East and Africa will go head to head in what is expected to be a diverse and exciting battle, with competitors hailing from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, and the UAE. Viewers will be treated to a diverse display of unique skills, routines, style and attitude.

The winner in Amman set to become will become the third finalist to earn a spot at the Red Bull BC One World Finals, in Seoul, South Korea, this November 30th, joining B-Boys Arex (Latin America) and Gravity (North America).

As Red Bull BC One celebrates its 10-Year anniversary this year, 2013. Last year, millions of people tuned in to watch Mounir claim glory in Rio de Janeiro. Viewers also witnessed heroic stories of B-Boys battling their way to the top, as well as superhuman feats of physical strength and innovation, and an all-out celebration of the evolution of Hip Hop culture today.

Red Bull BC One is the most important one-on-one B-Boy competition in the world. Each year, thousands of B-Boys compete in national Cyphers for a spot in six Finals, held in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Middle East & Africa. Winners earn a ticket to the Red Bull BC One World Finals, where 16 will enter, but only one will be crowned champion.
The first Red Bull BC One World Finals were hosted in 2004, in Switzerland. Since then, the annual competition has moved from Germany to Brazil, South Africa, France, USA, Japan and Russia.

This year marks the 10-Year Anniversary of Red Bull BC One, where the World Finals will head to Seoul, South Korea, home of some of the most innovative breaking today. In celebration of a decade of first-class breaking, all previous World Champions will return to battle in Seoul.
