Accra, March 29, GNA - The Management and Governing Council of the Peristrofi World Honorary International Award (PWHIA) on Thursday launched the 2013 Award in Accra.
Mr. Divine Gabriel Brefo, the President of Peristrofi World Honorary Award told the Ghana News Agency in Accra that the event was being held to recognise the contribution of self made accomplished people within the area of their endeavour in the World.
He said the general public was being invited to the PWHIA conference at the Faculty of Law Auditorium of the Kwame University of Science and Technology, Kumasi on Monday April 1, where awardees would be honoured.
He said some of the Award recipients are Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, former Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Hackman Owusu Agyemang, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, former first lady, Mr. Jonathan Obeng, Director of Royal Consult - Ghana, among others.
Mr Brefo noted that this was the second time the award was been held in Ghana, 'The recipients of the awards are people of high accomplishments with no questionable character and we are therefore grateful to honour them with this award,'.
He added that they were therefore expecting greater things from the recipients now and in the future. GNA
