The National Youth Employment Programme was initiated to help deal with the overwhelming level of unemployment in the country.
But the programme is now bedeviled by corruption and has become an avenue for money-making for some officials.
Even more worrying are what appear to be attempts by National Security and some government officials to shield the perpetrators from prosecution.
