
UT Bank, a leading universal bank in Ghana has been awarded the Most Respected Company for the year 2012, at Ghana's Most Respected Company and CEO Awards night over the weekend.
At the event, UT Bank's CEO, Prince Kofi Amoabeng, was also adjudged the Most Respected CEO for 2012.
Rlg Communications, a subsidiary of the AGAMS Group of Companies which is a Ghanaian-owned limited liability company, engaged in the production of communications equipment such as mobile handsets, electronic notebooks, tablets, laptops and LCD TV monitors, among others, also pulled a surprise at the awards night held at the Banquet Hall in Accra.
The leading ICT firm and its CEO, affable Roland Agambire, floored many companies and CEOs to win the third Most Respected Company and 2 nd Most Respected CEO for 2012.
This was based on a survey in which CEOs were asked to select the companies and CEOs they most respected and give reasons for their selections. The highest nominee for each of these two categories was presented with the Most Respected Company and Most Respected CEO awards.
The awards programme which was held under the theme 'Growing the leadership and talent pipeline' was jointly organized by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Business and Financial Times to reward excellence in corporate Ghana.

Ghana's Most Respected Company and CEO Awards is a biennial opinion survey conducted amongst CEOs of various organizations in Ghana. The awards scheme is organized to motivate companies and CEOs to move towards value creation, build public trust and promote good corporate governance practices. The objective of this year's awards is to crystallize how industry has grown leadership and talent over the years.
