Accra, Oct. 7, GNA - The Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Tuesday congratulated Ms Adjoa Yeboah-Afari on her election as the President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).
Nana Appau Duah, Supervising Chief Editor, GNA, told her: "We are with you. Please, accept our congratulations on your election."
Nana Duah made the commendation when Ms Afari called at the GNA to thank and shake hands with the staff for electing her to the enviable position.
In another development the The Women's Commission of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) on Tuesday congratulated Ms Yeboah-Afari. A NUGS statement issued in Accra said: "Your victory over two other male contenders in the recently held elections is a victory and pride to womanhood.
"The victory is not by chance but by dint of hard work and exemplary performance in your profession as a Journalist over the past years."
The statement commended the President-Elect for her exhibition of courage, perseverance and determination during the electioneering campaign.
NUGS, therefore, urged her to execute her duties with zeal.
