The Corrupt NDC

The Corrupt NDC
03.10.2012 LISTEN

The NDC will be judged in terms of their competence, their honesty and above all their preparedness for an all-inclusive government. So far none of the above has been seen.

Their record on institutionalized corruption, Mafia style, is acknowledged by all.

Any attempt by the founder of this party to talk about the criminal behaviour of this party in any forum not excluding the impending gathering of NDC at Ho will not be taken seriously by any sensible person.

What the people of this country want to hear is concrete action about how to put an end to this corruption and to bring about the requisite punishment for those who have betrayed their voters.

We want action, not words at the NDC campaign launch at Ho.

Words like transparency and accountability have become meaningless especially since the very people who use these words are the very people who have betrayed, cheated and humiliated the good ones amongst them.

We are fed-up with words like strong economy for real jobs creation or lately words like investing in people when we do not know the people NDC is talking about. Of-course we are not fools, we have been deceived once, twice, but not a third time. We demand from NDC how they are going to create jobs and whom they are going to create the jobs for. Are Ashantis for instance going to have opportunity to be employed under NDC government ? Is NDC really prepared for true decentralization where the people of the Volta Region will have the right to choose their own Prime Minister, decide on their own Health Care System and not to be dictated to from a dubious character sitting in Accra. There is no substitute to freedom, including the freedom of choice, the freedom and the right to vote in the Regions and the freedom to take ones fate into ones own hands.

Development in Ghana can only come about, if there is no lack of pragmatic efficiency and competence. It has been so easy to identify these therefore there is no need for any further mentioning of this in any forum. There can not be any mentioning of social responsibility when the majority of the population which feeds the rest, namely the Ashantis are marginalized.

This is a joke. Repetition of this deliberate ethnocentrism while talking of decentralization will no more be accepted by Ashantis. What is needed is a definite plan, a structural change in our constitution. This will make our constitution water-tight from the injustices and criminal acts of this party. I am a Ghanaian by birth and I have served this party for the last thirty years with dignity. I dare say therefore: Rawlings presence in this gathering at Ho will be a mistake.

Long live the truth. The long-term legacy of this party shall ever be the party of hate. It must be voted out. God willing.
