I think that particularly, on style of presentation, to her detractors who paint her as "an angry Black woman", she came to Charlotte with an almost cherubic grace and engaging smile; I know that to those human fountains of negativism against her who scream and yell on FoxNews and other partisan platforms that she "hates America", Michelle shattered their wicked lies by restating the Realities of her love for America and the Obamas' gratitude for living the American dream!

USAfricaonline.com: A few hours ago, on Tuesday September 4, 2012 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, gave what has to be ranked as the most informative, most effective and impactful convention speech by any other wife of the President of the U.S. since 1776.

Without a doubt, Mrs. Obama (mom-in-chief) is an effective, credible and powerful voice for her husband and many bread-and-butter, healthcare matters and other existential issues she brings to the table of America's national discourse -- on behalf of her husband.

What else can you say when Barack Obama, the son of an African scholar-immigrant and a White mother of modest means, goes and marries the daughter of a financially and health challenged African-American, and they both work together as a young struggling couple and by their dedication, hard work and God's grace, Barack becomes the President of the greatest country in human history and Michelle its First Lady, the first Black or minority woman? But lies can only go so far until evident truths and proper, fact-wise, powerful articulation defeat them!

Michelle Obama took everyone back to the humble background, historical facts and challenges of life faced by Barack and her, noting that beyond those: "today, after so many struggles and triumphs and moments that have tested my husband in ways I never could have imagined, I have seen firsthand that being president doesn't change who you are – it reveals who you are."

She subtly created contrasts of Barack and his Republican opponent, multimillionaire Mitt Romney.

Michelle cited, among others, the popular but tasking issue of student loan. "Believe it or not, when we were first married, our combined monthly student loan bills were actually higher than our mortgage. We were so young, so in love, and so in debt."

On the issue of Republican claims about anti-wealth "class warfare"

and "envy", Michelle, a Harvard-trained lawyer and successful healthcare executive, countered with a smile "Like so many American families, our families weren't asking for much. They didn't begrudge anyone else's success or care that others had much more than they did...in fact, they admired it. They simply believed in that fundamental American promise that, even if you don't start out with much, if you work hard and do what you're supposed to do, then you should be able to build a decent life for yourself and an even better life for your kids and grandkids. That's how they raised us…that's what we learned from their example."

She added that "We learned about dignity and decency – that how hard you work matters more than how much you make…that helping others means more than just getting ahead yourself. We learned about honesty and integrity – that the truth matters…that you don't take shortcuts or play by your own set of rules…and success doesn't count unless you earn it fair and square."

She enlivened party faithfuls at the 2012 the Democratic National Convention, and tv watchers at home as she effectively spoke as a character witness for President Barack Obama. "He's the same man who, when our girls were first born, would anxiously check their cribs every few minutes to ensure they were still breathing, proudly showing them off to everyone we knew. That's the man who sits down with me and our girls for dinner nearly every night, patiently answering their questions about issues in the news, and strategizing about middle school friendships."

A few minutes after her Tuesday September 4, 2012 speech in Charlotte, North Carolina, I tweeted that "Michelle OBAMA is truly a First Lady of substance as proven wt her outstanding speech a few minutes ago at Democratic Party convention 2012. She's one more reason…."

Michelle's dignified method of contrasting the Obamas and the Romneys reflected her graciousness, her class as an educated person and worthiness as, I have variously referred to her, a First Lady of substance!
