NLA announces first draw of 'Freeky Fortune' lottery results

Accra, July 14, GNA - The National Lottery Authority (NLA) on Friday announced the winning numbers of its maiden draw of 'Freeky Fortune' lottery held in Accra.

The eight winning numbers are 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49 and 56.

Speaking at the live draw in Accra, Mr Kojo Andah, Director General of NLA explained that 'Freekly Fortune' lottery is a weekly game of chance that allowed players to select 8 numbers from 1 to 56 purchased from a vendor.

Mr Andah said the player then marks the selected numbers with a digital pen provided by the vendor and writes his mobile phone number on the card.

He said afterwards, the player ticks the send button on the card and he receives an automated message on his phone from the NLA's operating servers containing the numbers staked and the draw date.

Mr Andah said winners of each draw would share the percentage of sales retained in a prize pool.

He said the draw takes place at 19:30 GMT every Friday at the Brennan Hall at the Head Office of the NLA in Accra and that in an event of the draw falling on a public date, an announcement of the most convenient alternative draw would be communicated in advance.

Mr Andah said the draw of the game would be held in public and any member of the public who is 18 years and above might be admitted into the hall, adding that the draw may be telecast live or delayed.

He said prizes were to be redeemed from the NLA in Accra together with the winning voucher, a valid identification card and an evidence of the phone number entered on the voucher at the time of staking.

Mr Andah said the business hours of the NLA for prize redemption is from 8:30am to 4:00pm, adding that unclaimed prizes within that period would be paid into the consolidated fund.

He encouraged all to make good use of the opportunity since it would boost revenue and transform the lives of many with attractive prizes.
