Christianity: The Mask of Hideous Crimes in the World

More than half the world population practice Christianity. In fact, when one samples one hundred (100) families, chances are, ninety-nine (99) of them will be Christians.

Christianity was founded by Jesus of Nazareth during his ministry in the regions of Galilee and Judea in the 1st Century. The religion gained root about 2000 years ago after the death of Jesus.

Some great world leaders belong to this religion. Mention could be made of Barack Obama (US), George Walker Bush Jr (US), John Evans Attah Mills (Ghana), John Agyekum Kuffuor (Ghana), Kofi Annan (Ghana), David Cameron (Britain), Queen Elizabeth (Britain), Tony Blair (Britain), Pope Benedict XIV (Rome), and Goodluck Jonathan (Nigeria) are few of the leaders who have admitted publicly their membership of the Christian faith.

This religion though noble, accounts for great and hideous crimes in the world. This is because, some criminals and wicked individuals have found the religion homely and have taken up membership of the Christian religion while perpetuation crimes against humanity.

Here in Ghana, Christians are known to be, "noble, humble, respectful, faithful, and loyal". These tags have attracted these criminals who want to go undercover for their crimes.

Even some of the aforementioned persons who are Christians also double as members of some secret societies like the free Manson, Bone and Skull and the Brotherhood etc.

The membership of former President John Agyekum Kuffuor of Ghana in the Britain chapter of the secret society free Mason was not denied. President Kuffuor was even promoted during the society's conference in 2009 for promoting the works of the group. However, this is a man who is touted to be a strong and "God-fearing" member of the Catholic church.

Former President George Walker Bush killed scores of people in the Iraq, Afghanistan and the US as well during the 9/11 attack yet he carries his christian tag everywhere he goes. His so called christian background even seasons his speeches.

These people mention, "God, Jesus, and the Bible" as often as they take in water.

However, these persons are not alone in this business of cladding themselves with Christianity.

There are alot of people around us who are prostitutes, armed robbers, shoplifters, drunks and killers yet these persons call themselves, "Christians and profess to live after Jesus".

Like Karl Marx, religion in our part of the world is the reserved of the poor who throng to church every Sunday to call on their "god" for some supernatural breakthrough.

Religion is indeed the "opium of the masses" in Africa.

Deceptive people have taken up the podium and are sharing the "death of Jesus" with the poor in exchange for the non-existing comfort of the poor.

It comes as no surprise that the major patronizers of our churches are the poor, husband-lookers, and the wife-lookers.

Crime is going on unabated.
It is about time the "good worshipers" purge their ranks of the criminals

Before I end this piece, i want to ask you whether the church can do without these people?

The criminals are giving hugely financially to our churches so how can it be purge of them?
