
Fund raising Dinner for NPP's Charles Cann
A fund raising dinner organized by the NPP Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter and the NPP Parliamentary candidate for New Edubiase Constituency in Ghana at the Fellowship of Joy Hall in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA drew a large crowd.
Evangelist Oppong Boateng, Head Pastor of Calvary Methodist Church Grand Prairie Texas opened the event with a prayer.
Mr. Charles Biney, a staunch NPP member gave a short speech relating to the big task ahead of Mr. Charles Cann and urged the guests to financially support the candidate.
Dr. Stella Green who chaired the function, spoke extensively on the need to revamp the educational system in Ghana.
The NPP D/FW chapter Chairman, Mr. Ohene Firempong, dazzled the guests with a brief history of the New Patriotic Party.
There was a spontaneous applause when the Parliamentary Candidate was introduced .
Mr. Charles Cann lamented on the virtual breakdown of economic activity, the gaping pot holes, collapsed bridges, and the degree of hopelessness among the able-bodied youth in the New Edubiase Constituency.
He said he is determined to bring about positive change, but he cannot accomplish this task all by himself. He therefore appealed to his friends in the DFW metroplex and all New Edubiase citizens in the Diaspora and in Ghana to support him financially.
The response to his speech was overwhelming.
