The University of Ghana has made new senior level administrative appointments with the appointment of Prof. Kweku Osam as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic and Students Affairs and Prof. John Gyapong as Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Development.
They succeed Prof. Kwesi Yankah and Prof. Yaa Ntiamoah-Baidu, who have both retired from the university, a statement signed by the Registrar, Mr J.M. Budu said.
Other senior level appointments are: Prof. Kwame Offei, Provost of the College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences; Prof. Kwadwo Ofori, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies; Prof. Richard Bani, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Prof. Clement Ahiadeke, Director of the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER).
The others are: Mrs Stella Amoa, Director of Public Affairs; Mr Richard O. Boapea, Director of Finance; Mr Peter Yarquah, College Registrar of the College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences and Mrs Nora Sowa, College Finance Officer of the College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences.
'The appointments take effect from August 1, 2011,' the statement said.
