The Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and Deputy Minister of Energy, Mr Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, who is a member of the task force, noted that the visit would accord the taskforce the opportunity to explore the options with the Attorney General's (A-G's) office to settle the protracted dispute between the government of Ghana and Balkan Energy to put the plant to good use for the benefit of Ghana.
He commended the A-G's office for the handling of the dispute and called for a way out of the legal hurdles to pave way for a technical audit to refurbish the barge.
The Managing Director of Ghana National Petroleum Company, Mr Asafo Adjei and a member of the Gas taskforce expressed the company's commitment to the development of the gas infrastructural project.
