rLG communication buys into National Youth Policy

Ghanaian ICT firm, rLG Communication is buying into the newly launched National Youth Policy to advance its mission of giving financial freedom to the country's young population.

The company has been at the forefront in the implementation of the National Youth Employment Programme and has so far trained over one thousand youth in the roll out of the ICT module. Majority of beneficiaries are being recruited under rLG's umbrella project of phone sales and repairs.

Newly appointed Chief Marketing Officer, David Afugani, says company is inspired by the zeal of the average Ghanaian youth to succeed and plans to engage 30 thousand at its phone assembling plant.

He tells Luv Fm the Ghanaian youth will remain a priority to rLG, even as the company expands operations to the West African Sub-region.

“Within the next two years, the plant size is increasing and we're going to assemble LCDs, laptops and internet modems. All these are aimed at providing sound employment for the teeming youth. One great differentiator for us in rLG Communication is that we're not driven by only profit; we are driven by a passion within us to create financial independence for the youth of Ghana”, Mr. Afugani stated.

The rLG Chief Marketer is in Kumasi to launch what he calls 'a total customer-centric revolution' to capture a 60 percent share of the mobile phone market'. He says the focus is not to be in transactions but building life-long relationships to create jobs for Ghanaians.

The locally assembled rLG brand of phones has recorded a very good equity within the Kumasi market and the company is currently recruiting young sales executives to market its products.
