Accra, Nov. 3, GNA - Mr George Isaac Amoo, former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, has declared his intention to contest the chairmanship slot of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Greater Accra Region.
He said his decision was influenced by the desire to empower the party foot soldiers and motivate people at the grassroots to be involved in the affairs of the party to win power in 2012.
A statement issued in Accra on Tuesday by Mr. Boye Laryea, member of Amoo's campaign team, said Mr. Amoo believed that the only way to implement his ideas and visions for members of the party was to be elected the party's chairman for the Region.
