Takoradi, Sept. 30, GNA - Six Vodafone retailers have won several prizes in the first Western Regional retailers draw for July and August in Takoradi.

The winners will each receive a table top telephone, umbrella, Vodafone products and bicycles among others.

Mr. Ekow Blankson, Head of Trade and Marketing, Vodafone Ghana, said the promotion was aimed at motivating retailers to intensify their efforts.

He said the 70,000 retailers nationwide had increased to 77,000 within two months, and the management of Vodafone was working around the clock to increase the number by December this year.

He said through the retail business, several Ghanaians have found additional sources of income, while others have become gainfully employed, especially the youth.

Mr. Blankson charged the retailers to be courteous, appear neat in their Vodafone branded attires and explain the various products and services to their clients.

“You are our ambassadors and we look up to you to create a positive image for the company,” he reminded them.

Mr. Blankson advised them not to engage in negative activities that could disrupt their business.
