Agona Swedru, June 25, GNA - Gamba All Blacks beat visiting Zaytuna United FC 2-0 in their 28th Onetouch Premier League at Agona Swedru stadium to add to the relegation woes of the debutants of the league.
The home team took control of the game in the early parts of proceedings but immediately lost it to the visiting team and allowed them to dictate the pace.
The second half saw All Blacks mounting an incessant pressure on Zaytuna in an attempt to find an opener but their efforts failed to yield any positive results before later in the game.
In the 50th minute, referee T.K. Agyare flashed his yellow card on Frank Boateng of Zaytuna for heckling Michael Boakye.
Frederick Aburam had a glorious opportunity to score the first goal for All Blacks in the 60th minute but the striker lost firm control of the ball and shot it over the bar with keeper Tetteh Lugard having been completely beaten.
Ishmael Antwi who elected himself to take a spot-kick after he was brought down in the penalty box in the 74th minute ensured the first goal was registered for his side.
Ishaka Ibrahim of Zaytuna nearly cancelled the goal in the 70th minute but goalkeeper Shaibu Salifu of All Blacks parried the ball for a corner kick, which was wasted by the visiting team.
Substitute Obed Owusu scored the second goal for All Blacks on the 90th minute mark when he pounced on the ball in the vital area of Zaytuna to plant the ball on the blind side of goalkeeper Tetteh Lugard.
