The annual challenge, organised by the Energy Commission in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service and other stakeholders, is designed to encourage scientific innovation, promote energy conservation and inspire students to develop practical renewable energy solutions.
The 7th edition, which has been designated the Champion of Champions Edition, is being held under the theme: "Harnessing Renewable Energy to Power Ghana's 24-Hour Green Economy."
Beyond the competition, the initiative offers students mentorship opportunities and encourages the development of innovative technologies with the potential to secure patent rights.
With 6 schools now through to the national finale, attention will turn to Accra, where the young innovators will compete to demonstrate how their projects can support Ghana's renewable energy ambitions.
