Doors with Wind-doors For Cross Ventilation, Health, and Climate Change

Doors with Wind-doors For Cross Ventilation, Health, and Climate Change

When the outside offers beautiful air and the inside feels like hell, then the building materials and systems may be part of the problem. You can opt for questionable man made products like air conditioners and fans, or understand how this marvelous idea of doors with wind-doors can transform the lives of billions. Whereas some countries long understood the importance of cross ventilation, a big chunk of Africa, the west, and beyond tend to lack enough natural cross ventilation. You can focus on better building in the future, but my idea is a wonderful patch for the millions of poorly built homes around the world. A more secure wind friendly inner door, a door with wind-door, can be easily added to present buildings and to help countless people, and inadvertently the whole world. Need I add billions or millions of dollars await the smart pioneers who may offer it at mass level? Even those who may still use fans will certainly welcome such wind-doors.

Bedroom Inner Wind-doors: I do not want to sleep in an unlocked room. So something like a burglar-proof window but as a door, made with wind friendly metal to contain human devils, then slap a wind friendly material that can contain pests like mosquitoes. It may be something your local welder can do, but factory competition can be extremely helpful. It can be made as an attachment to present doors or offered as a complete set with traditional doors -- double doors. When you just want to sleep, enjoy the healthier natural air, then using such inner doors can be a blessing to millions or billions of people. It can be helpful even in the daytime.

Main Building Wind-doors: Although some people will prefer it similar to the inner door, some will prefer the lower half to be solid to avoid jumping frogs, snakes, and other forceful creatures getting in, or destroying a cheap anti-pest screen. Depending on your building, the bedroom inner wind-door can be enough at night, but a good main wind-door(s) can help both in the day and night-time. Rather than having those flimsy wooden inner doors in many Gambian or African homes, imagine a solid wind friendly inner door to help much more in cross ventilation. You can use such, day and night, depending on the season.

Health: Millions of people struggle to sleep due to lack of air and/or electricity. Even the so-called developed world with near zero electricity outages, countless people getting better air, reducing consumption and bills, and catering for non-electricity times due to natural disasters, wars, etc is smart. Less stress and more sleep will often translate to higher health. So the rich elite should seriously try to realize such and help make it affordable, including consulting big door manufacturers and public sensitization. They own the factories, but they lack certain great ideas.

Climate Change: Although I do not think everyone will abandon their air conditioners and fans for wind-doors, a big chunk of humankind may stop or reduce the use of fans and air-conditioners . Reducing certain consumptions will likely help us with climate change .

Stability: Recently, we saw a nasty violent protest in the Gambia, and a big chunk of it was due to the inability to sleep well, because people depend on fans and continue to build badly. Countless countries are yet to have stable electricity and people can resort to violent protests that may worsen. If such leads to coup, rebellion, etc the refugee problem can affect different countries that may be indifferent today. Some people may vote out a sitting president due to inability to sleep and think only electricity is the solution. A reckless gamble through certain opposition leaders will not solve your problems, or may even worsen them. I will recommend state houses and all the offices to strongly consider these wind-doors for better cross ventilation. Help make great ones available and affordable, and sensitize the public for our collective good.

Personal Story: My regular bedroom has one window, a smaller window through the 'bathroom', and of course a traditional door. I think most bedrooms are like that, beyond Africa, and that cannot be called good cross ventilation. Because I am a vegan+, I usually do not even use fans, let alone air-conditioners, except for guests. In a year, I may turn on the fan for less than ten times. However, this month I think I used the fan at night far more than I usually use in a year. There could be many factors to it, but I suspect a B12 supplement I am using as the culprit. I plan to stop it tomorrow. Anyway, I am presently using our upper second living room as a bedroom, which has three windows. Despite the three windows, I do not think there is good cross ventilation when the regular door is locked. I am presently using a fan in that very place as I write. So having countless wind friendly doors will greatly help in many scenarios. Once I step outside the main building, the air feels amazing. Mosquitoes and dangerous thieves mean no outside sleeping. So how do we 'steal' the nice air outside? Me and you can focus on ourselves with our local welders, or be grateful with the idea to help countless people.

A poor writer with no capital means I cannot turn the marvelous idea to millions or billions. However, my love is strong enough to gladly share. Imagine the first person to flood the market in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, etc with such A+ level of wind-doors? May the Kind Lord be much more kind to all of us. May God bless Showlove Trinity: let's learn, let's work, let's have fun.
