The decomposed body of an unidentified man believed to be about 40 years old has been discovered hanging from a tree on a farm at Moowire, near Kodie in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.
The discovery on Saturday, October 10, 2026, has triggered speculation among residents, with some suspecting suicide while others believe the man may have been killed by unknown assailants.
A resident, Mr Appiah, who spoke to Daily Guide, said the body was found by a farmer who had gone to work on his farm.
He said the discovery was immediately reported to the relevant authorities and security agencies, prompting a visit to the scene by environmental officers and police personnel to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The body was later removed for burial after traditional leaders performed customary rites and poured libation to pacify the community.
The identity of the deceased remains unknown, while the circumstances surrounding his death have yet to be established.
