Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for Manso Nkwanta, Frederick Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Yentumi, has reiterated his unwavering support for the party's flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a political statement issued on October 11, 2026, Mr Nkansah reaffirmed his allegiance to the former Vice President, making his position clear as the NPP prepares for the next national election.
The former aspirant also called for unity, peace and discipline among party members, stressing the need for collective commitment to the NPP's political objectives.
Yentumi stands firm with Bawumia
Yentumi maintained that his support for Dr Bawumia remained unchanged, reinforcing his commitment to the party's flagbearer as preparations for the 2028 elections gather momentum.
His declaration comes amid ongoing political discussions within the NPP over its future electoral strategy and the need to consolidate support behind the party's leadership.
Calls for unity and discipline
Beyond reaffirming his support for Dr Bawumia, Yentumi urged party members to remain united and respect the party's leadership as they work towards the next general elections.
He emphasised the importance of maintaining peace and discipline, particularly as the party continues preparations for future internal political activities.
He also cautioned against allowing individual interests to undermine the broader ambitions of the party, calling for members to prioritise their shared goals.
Bawumia's support base receives fresh endorsement
Yentumi's declaration adds to the public expressions of support for Dr Bawumia as the NPP looks ahead to the 2028 electoral contest.
The former Manso Nkwanta parliamentary aspirant reiterated that he remained firmly behind the flagbearer, urging party members to maintain unity and focus on the task ahead.
