
The Executive Chairman and Board of the Pan African Business Forum (PABF), a continental business leadership organisation headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, have announced the appointment of Dr Oscar Sam Ugoh as Executive Vice President, West Africa and Head of the PABF West Africa Secretariat.
The PABF, which has a 20-year track record of operations across Africa, will establish its West Africa Secretariat at NEOPLAN HOUSE, Accra, Ghana, which will serve as the operational hub and gateway for the organisation’s activities across the region.
Under a Mandate Letter issued under the hand and seal of the Pan African Business Forum, Dr Ugoh is authorised to represent, operate and advance the interests of the PABF across West Africa.
His responsibilities include operationalising and leading the PABF West Africa Secretariat in Accra, organising corporate conferences, business colloquiums, seminars, workshops, CEO dialogues, investment forums and business roundtables under the PABF banner.
He will also oversee the convening of the Annual West Africa Business Leaders Awards and engage governments, development partners, the ECOWAS Commission, the AfCFTA Secretariat and private sector organisations.
Dr Ugoh is further mandated to contribute to business leadership excellence across West Africa and the wider African continent.
Dr Ladislas Prosper Agbesi, Executive Chairman of PABF, said the appointment reflected Dr Ugoh’s leadership experience and commitment to advancing business development across the continent.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr Oscar Sam Ugoh expressed his commitment to advancing the organisation’s objectives across the region.
“I am deeply honored by this mandate. I accept this responsibility with full commitment to uphold the values of PABF and to work with all Governments, Private Sector Leaders and Development Partners to advance business leadership excellence, intra-African trade and investment. Ghana as our hub will serve West Africa with professionalism and purpose.”
The PABF has called on governments, financial institutions, development partners, corporate entities and the general public in West Africa and beyond to accord Dr Ugoh and his team the necessary recognition, support and cooperation as official representatives of the Pan African Business Forum in the region.
