As part of an ongoing district-wide familiarization tour aimed at assessing community needs and ensuring a fair share of national development, leadership of the Dormaa East District Assembly visited Nsesresu-Asuhyiaye and Asuotiano on Tuesday, September 6, 2026.

The delegation began with a joint community meeting at Nsesresu-Asuhyiaye, two neighboring communities that share common amenities, including local schools.

The Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Nimpong Charles, thanked the Assembly for completing a 3-unit classroom block at the D/A JHS and the provision of a new mechanized borehole. He however, appealed for road reshaping, inner lane construction, grid extension to prevent illegal power connections, and a standard football field.

Following the gathering, the delegation officially commissioned the newly constructed mechanized borehole at Asuhyiaye.

At Asuotiano, the local Assembly Member welcomed the team and requested the completion of an abandoned football field project, road reshaping, and market renovations.

The Asuotianohene, Baffour Danso Asiedu Abiam, urged the Assembly to urgently clear a massive refuse dump near residential homes to safeguard public health.

District Chief Executive Hon. Osei Owusu King expressed appreciation to residents for their electoral support. Drawing on his 20-year background as an Assembly Member, he called for peace, unity, and active communal labor to drive local progress. He also highlighted plans to develop the Dormaa East Eco-Tourism Center at Nsesresu with the backing of Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II.

Member of Parliament Hon. Rachel Owusuaa presented streetlights and fertilizers to community leaders for local security and farming. Expressing gratitude for her historic election as the constituency's first female NDC MP, she promised steady, phased development. She pledged to renovate the Asuotiano market and complete their football pitch, offering residents a choice between an Astroturf or a naturally groomed field.
