NDC Upper East Regional Communication Officer Jonathan Abdallah Salifu has demonstrated a gesture of solidarity across the political divide by supporting former NPP Upper East Regional Communications Director Peter Ayinbisa following an accident.
Salifu is reported to have intervened to secure an ambulance for the injured former NPP communicator and also assisted with the payment of his medical bills following the incident.
The gesture comes despite the two men belonging to opposing political parties and having engaged in public political exchanges over issues affecting the Upper East Region.
Ayinbisa reportedly acknowledged Salifu’s intervention and publicly expressed appreciation for the support during an interview on Dreamz FM in Bolgatanga.
Salifu has served as the NDC’s Upper East Regional Communication Officer and has been active in the party’s regional communications activities.
He has also declared his intention to contest the NDC Upper East Regional Secretary position, citing more than two decades of involvement in the party and experience at the branch, constituency and regional levels.
