A leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante group, Delta Force, Kwadwo Fosu Boadu has been elected the party's National First Vice Chairman at the just-ended National Delegates Conference.

He has called on the party to work towards a return to power in 2028, stating that the political future of the party is closely tied to the aspirations and opportunities available to Ghana's youth.

In a Facebook post following his victory, Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo Bamba, said his political ambitions are not driven by a desire to portray himself as superior to others but by a commitment to representing the interests and aspirations of young people.

He said he considers himself a voice for the youth and believes his role should be focused on creating opportunities that will enable the next generation to fulfil its potential.

“I do not see myself as better than anyone else. I see myself as a voice for the youth, a representative of their hopes, dreams and aspirations. My ambition goes beyond personal success; it is about creating opportunities and ensuring that the next generation has a fair chance to rise,” he wrote.

Fosu Boadu said the NPP's return to government in 2028 must be viewed beyond the pursuit of political power, stressing that the party's comeback should be anchored in a broader vision for Ghana's development and the future of its young population.

He warned that failure to restore the NPP to power could leave many young people without the opportunities they need to advance their lives and contribute meaningfully to national development.

“So many destinies risk remaining in the shadows if we fail to restore power in 2028. Our youth deserve opportunities, our people deserve hope, and our future deserves a renewed commitment to progress.”

He also emphasised that the NPP's political comeback should not be pursued merely as an objective of winning elections, but as part of a larger effort to restore hope and create an environment in which young people can realise their ambitions.

“The NPP must rise again in 2028, not just for political power, but for the countless dreams and destinies that depend on a brighter future.”
