Kpandai MP commissions newly built JHS Block at Meme

Member of Parliament for the Kpandai Constituency, Hon. Mathew Nyindam, has commissioned a newly constructed Junior High School (JHS) block at Meme, fulfilling a commitment he made to the community in 2024.

The facility is expected to provide pupils in Meme and it's surrounding communities with a more conducive environment for teaching and learning while contributing to efforts to improve educational infrastructure in the area.

The short ceremony brought together community leaders, the Assembly Member for the Katiejeli Electoral Area, old students, NPP Constituency and Electoral Area executives, and young people from Meme.

Residents and community members praised Hon. Nyindam for fulfilling his promise, describing the project as an important intervention in the educational development of the community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Nyindam said investing in education was essential to creating opportunities for young people and tackling poverty. “I firmly believe that when we invest in the education of our people, we are building a stronger future that will help fight poverty,” he said.

“I remain committed to doing my best for my people.” he reaffirmed his commitment to his constituents.

The District Director of Education, Mr Yaw Sarfo, commended the MP for his commitment to education and his contribution towards improving learning facilities in the area.

He assured the gathering that the Ghana Education Service would put the new facility to good use and ensure that it serves its intended purpose.

The newly commissioned JHS block is expected to help improve teaching and learning conditions while providing pupils with a more appropriate educational environment.

For the people of Meme, the commissioning represents a new chapter in its educational journey, one in which the community hopes the newlyy built infrastructure will translate into better learning outcomes and greater opportunities for its children.

As Hon. Nyindam reiterated his commitment to the people of Kpandai, the commissioning also served as a reminder that investment in education is ultimately an investment in the future of the constituency.
