This year's Overall National Best Farmer and the National Best Poultry Farmer will receive an exclusive seven-day all-expenses-paid international agricultural study and leisure trip to Italy.
To be sponsored by Mehak Company Limited and Covenant Farms, the trip would offer them an exposure to modern European agritech, sustainable value chains, and processing innovations.
Demonstrating a shared commitment to recognising excellence, innovation, and resilience in the Ghanaian agriculture, the two agribusiness leaders have pledged transformative international exposure package for the two to study the best agricultural practices in Italy.
The package is designed to expose them to modern farming technologies, processing innovations, and smart agricultural practices, directly supporting the government's agricultural modernization goals.
The Ministry of Food and Agriculture, on its part has completed negotiations with the Italy Embassy for successful travels for the farmers who will ultimately emerge as winners of these two categories.
The ministry expresses deep appreciation to managements of Mehak Company Limited and Covenant Farms for setting this benchmark in support for agriculture and the National Farmers' Day Celebration.
