The High Court in Accra has refused a bail application filed by Salomey Awity Baffoe, a senior nursing officer based in Techiman who is facing an abetment of crime charge linked to content attributed to the “Ghana Jollof” social media account.
The court declined to grant bail, citing the ongoing investigations and concerns that evidence relevant to the case could be deleted if the accused is released.
Ms Baffoe’s lawyer, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, confirmed the decision following a virtual hearing.
The case stems from police investigations into activities surrounding the “Ghana Jollof” social media account, including financial transactions involving individuals described by investigators as high-profile persons.
The police have also launched a manhunt for Barbara Asantewaa Koduah, who is believed to be behind the account.
Following the court’s decision, Ms Baffoe will remain in custody as investigations into the case continue.

This strong perception about the judiciary is that they are always in bed with the government and is not going to go away anytime soon. When will the police finish the investigation ? This woman was abducted and not arrested , drove her all the way from techiman to Accra, this woman is not even the primary holder of the jollof account.
