NPP Stalwart commends Mahama over appointment of Prince Manu Morris as DCE

In an era where political discourse is often defined by division and reflexive criticism, a refreshing narrative has emerged from the Amansie West District in the Ashanti Region.

Hon. Daniel Kweku Mensah, popularly known as DKM — a staunch stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Assemblyman for the Moseaso Electoral Area — has publicly broken ranks with partisan tradition to commend President John Dramani Mahama.

The subject of his praise is the President’s appointment of Hon. Prince Manu Morris as District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie West.

For DKM, true national development can only be achieved when politicians embrace the maturity to praise where praise is due and criticise where necessary, regardless of political affiliation.

DKM’s remarks are rooted in what he describes as the DCE’s unwavering honesty, transparency and dedication to serving the people without discrimination.

He noted that at a time when some government appointees are accused of prioritising the needs of their own party faithful, Hon. Prince Manu Morris has carved out a reputation for inclusivity.

A clear example cited by the NPP stalwart was the DCE’s recent intervention to support 400 students who had secured admission to Senior High Schools.

DKM pointed out that while certain DCEs offer assistance along partisan lines, Hon. Morris ensured that support reached students based on need rather than political colours.

“This is the kind of leadership that transforms lives,” Kweku Mensah stressed during a media engagement.

According to him, any appointee who puts the welfare of the ordinary citizen above political interest is a victory for the district and the country at large.

The Assemblyman reiterated that the impact of Hon. Morris’s tenure extends beyond social interventions, noting a surge in infrastructure projects and the provision of basic amenities across the Amansie West District.

DKM added that the DCE has fostered strong personal relationships with constituents, making his presence more visible and appreciated in the district.

Reflecting on the state of the nation, DKM used the platform to challenge other government appointees across the country.

He urged them to emulate the shining example of Hon. Prince Manu Morris, emphasising that a united Ghana can only be built when public servants discard the veil of discrimination and serve with fairness and integrity.
