Dear Mr President,
Accept my commendation for your commitments to the Resetting (Righting) Ghana Agenda. Hence, aspect of mindset revolution to inculcate and induce good character buildings should be or is inclusive. Hence inducing integrity and humbleness qualities must be a part of a Reset Agenda for navigating the Country towards a better future.
So, I write to you to say that a Reset Agenda is primarily about changing the narrative, a mindset revolution. So change the narrative with the National Cathedral by please use God’s Minerals Capital vested in you for the Citizens for the National Cathedral, a tool for public good, an important physical national heritage. Let the citizen note that the buck or challenge stops with the President, as the prime Leader or first gentleman of Ghana to act for public good.
Sir, the Multipurpose National Cathedral Project is going to be for national nondenominational religious activities. Thus without formal ties to traditional governing hierarchies like Catholic, Methodist, Anglican, Presbyterian or Baptist, Pentecost etc.
Consequently, the National Cathedral is going to be a tool for national unity due to the likelihood of it facilitating a comprehensive National and sometimes Private non-denominational Religious Services for Public Good. Hence, it is going to host non-Christians as well, so Muslims as participants for national special prayer services etc to collectively say the one the word Amen to denote unison, after a prayer or good messages for the Nation should be promoted by Mr President. So the State hence Christians, Muslims and others and not only the Christian’s community must own it.
Sir, this is necessary, since it also going to be national consequential multi-24-hour economy activities at one spot and the related areas (especially transporters) for all the local and international nationals/residents without exception. Hence, it is going to be a very important Reset Agenda tool for national unity and very good source of revenue streams in the Tourists industry, since when completed, it will be made of four main structures or subprojects with ten distinct revenue streams. The four main structures are;
- National Cathedral itself: To be made up of a large inter-non-denominational auditorium, for between 5,000 and 15,000 peoples. Alongside there is going to be ground ceremonial spaces with 1000-seater banquet hall.
- Biblical Museum of Africa: A specialized facility to be dedicated to history by showcasing biblical history, artifacts and interactive galleries.
- Biblical Gardens of Africa: Botanical and landscape gardens around biblical flora and reflective outdoor gardens spaces designed for education and prayer.
- Commercial and supportive amenities: Multipurpose rental spaces, 350 seater biblical restaurants.
Thus, it is to be made of multipurpose projects with 10 specific revenue streams to raise 100 million dollars within the first five years. The projected revenue streams from tourism aspects are as follows:
- Admission entry fees to the cathedral, with museum and gardens to attract a total rate of 10 to 15 US Dollars per foreign tourists with foreign visitors estimated at least 120,000 people per year, a total of 4 Dollars per head for domestic tourist adults, 2 Dollars per child for children between 10 years to 17 years.
- Pre-opening memberships and ongoing members, the exact dues yet to be determined.
- Event Spaces and Halls multipurpose rental spaces, a 1,000-seater banquet hall and Conference center. The exact rental fees, yet to be determined.
- Dining facilities with biblical restaurants and dedicated café.
- Catering event catering services.
- Rentals with one-site gift shops and souvenir outlets, rental fees yet to be determined.
- Theater for performing arts and cultural events.
- Special event for hosting national, international and private gatherings. Online education digital learning programs and modules. Online merchandize (e –commerce) sales of branded items.
- Banking facilities/Halls.
- Others.
His Excellency the President of Ghana, besides a project for Public good, 400,000 annual visitors, both domestic and international visitors with expected 100 Million Dollars revenue in the first five years, may be realized as part of payback mechanism. Thus you may agree with me that it is worth the usage of the minerals wealth from God to the citizens to complete it, without waste of time.
Sir, the above details speak of a very important national infrastructural asset with the capacity to provide the much talked about of 24-hour economy and social activities. Hence, it will have the potential to create over thousands jobs daily, direct and indirect, as well as with the capacity of creating payback revenue streams including related taxes along the value chain.
So, If something like the National Cathedral is worth doing for Public Good and for inducing 24-hour economy activity, then as a person nominated by God to lead Ghana with the rich abundant natural resources gifted by God, so use part of God’s minerals capital for a tool that has the capacity to inculcate and induce positive and big thinking mindset, for building integrity and humbleness qualities for the Resetting Agenda.
A project that can bring both the NPP and NDC, as the source of ruling administration in the Fourth Republic to come under one roof for one Ghana with a common destiny, since they will collectively pray for Ghana, hence for the Government and people of Ghana, the President of Ghana and his or her family, spontaneously say one word to the prayers at the National Cathedral as AMEN.
So, completing the construction of the National Cathedral should be a national priority, since as stated, besides going to help to induce good Characters, it is going to be a potential landmark 24-hour economy and social activities place.
Sir, the harm has been done to the buildings etc which were at the affected areas earmarked for this project, thus the horses have let the stable as such it is vacant. So the best place for the National Cathedral is at this location in Accra, since it may attract transit foreign and local visitors both day and night times, who may wish to visit a place of interest, if time permits.
Mr President, the State has a duty of care to build good characters for public good, as ever said by Brigadier General Fredrick Gordon Guggisburg, the best Governor of the Gold Coast who initiated Character Building in the educational system. So, the Multipurpose National Cathedral Project if completed will be a good asset for the Reset Agenda.
So, a National Cathedral for both spiritual and social activity, hence for inducing national cohesion etc, thus a very important tool for Mindset Revolution, will therefore be an important ingredient of the National Reset Agenda. Thus, it is worth the usage of the minerals wealth from God to the citizens to complete it without waste of time.
Sir, failing to use the place for the original plan for a National Cathedral by the State, it should not be handed over to the Christian’s Community. So, you as the President of Ghana should take a firm decision by converting the idea to build an International Children Hospital/International General Mortuary, thus providing a public good project, capable of providing real operations in 24hours, seven days a week (24/7) by both State/Official and Private Activities for public good.
So, it is recommended that the 24-Hour Economy Authority needs to take note of this very important or potential landmark asset for Religious, Social (tourists, educational center) and Economic (business) site that will generate/operate 24hours activities in the seven days in a week (24/7) including public holidays. Hence, a very important 24-Hour Economy business/ social activity.
The 24-Hour Economy Authority should see how it can jointly own the Project with the following Ministries, (a).the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, (b). The Ministry responsible for Religious Affairs (c) Ministry of Finance and (d). Ministry of Environment.
So, our Dear President Mahama, (a Statesman par excellence/ a global icon), you proclaimed that you appreciate the importance of a National Cathedral, thus you see it as an important National Asset for public good.
So please use the minerals wealth from Almighty God to the citizens to complete it, since this is the reason why the minerals in Ghana are vested in the President of Ghana for Public good especially legacy or heritage tool. Since this unique National Cathedral project is going to be for physical embodiment of national unity, harmony, and spirituality, thus the nation’s ceremonial landmark, Ghana’s nondenominational place to gather to worship and celebrate in spiritual accord.
Christian’s numbers are over 70 percent of the population of Ghana. So need for a national rally place for Christians, who must share more than 70% of God’s minerals capital. Hence, the National Cathedral is therefore one of the best physical infrastructures, a national heritage to show case the judicious usage of Ghana’s Minerals and Petroleum capital from God for public good.
Sir, it should be noted that Ghanaians seemed to be more Christians than other Nation’s nationals due to some of them in a seemingly ceaseless daily and all night prayers. So this unique National Cathedral project, besides a place for public good /building good characters, it is going to be a very important asset that has payback ventures, showcasing a visible national asset from the expenditure of the minerals wealth bestowed by Almighty God that will be inherited by future generations.
So, please lead the Nation to change the narrative by resetting the minds of the citizens, since you are a good Leader, as nominated by God for His (God’s) purpose of leading the nation towards a journey to a Promised Land. A Promised Land where the fear of God through the Teachings of the Words and commands of God, Integrity and humbleness and the biblical statement of Love for thy Neighbor Reign.
So, let us stop saying the problem with it was a private promise to God by former President Nana, since the State can confiscate a private land or building for public good, So the State should simply take ownership, especially when you, the President of Ghana said you know the importance of the National Cathedral Project.
et me add it is going to be a better asset than the 24hour Markets since though both have Economic businesses, the National Cathedral Project, will be the best or number one 24-Hour Economy business and social activity in Ghana, with all occupants jointly will say Amen. Note, if completed it will work 24/7 throughout the year, whether rainy or shiny weather.
At this point, pardon, your writer, Retired Major Mohamed Bogobiri to digress small in order to drive a point home. That is to say that the new Kejetia Bus Terminal/Market Complex, in Ghana’s second city is not or cannot and will not be operated more than 14 hours.
Sir note, that your writer, a onetime Military Peacekeeper, with good experiences with the operations of the State of the Art Cambodia’s Transport Terminal/ Market Complex, once presented a Report on the Security, Safety and Environmental, Health Risk Assessments of the new Kejetia Bus Terminal and Market Complex to the Messrs Contracta, That was the Brazilian Team before the opening of it in 2017, on the need to operate it as a 24/7 Bus Terminal and market, like the old one, but the Management had to make it initially to operate from 0500hrs (5am) to 2200hrs (10pm).
Unfortunately, the activities at the place peak up in January 2021, thus four years after opening and even that due to the state of affairs especially poor marketing at night and for security and environmental reasons, the Management of Kumasi City Markets settled on operating it from 530 am to 730pm despite the recommendation of this writer to keep it open to the public up to 8pm if not 10pm. An updated Risk Assessment was handed over to the new or current Mayor in December 2025.
Enter the National Cathedral Project, so, if it is a bad project, I know you to be a President of Ghana/ a Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces who is capable of marshaling both intestinal and testicular fortitude. As such, will have by now instituted actions to prosecute the former President, His Excellency Nana Addo, reportedly the Show Boy by his affiliates, if he really committed a crime against the State, presumably a crime of willfully damaged national assets at the affected area and willfully cost financial loss to the State.
If it is so, then the prosecution should be done decisively and decidedly with alacrity. Sir, if you think otherwise of the Project then see to convert it to an International Children Hospital/International Mortuary or before prosecute him before you can hand over the project to the Christians, to be regarded as a private asset.
But, if the problem with the National Cathedral Project, is the possible both heavy human and vehicular traffic condition it may create, this can easily be properly managed by National Security Operation as usually done for national activities.
National Security Operations can say only special vehicles like electric buses, electric cars and electric motors, electric bikes etc which DVLA is providing special number plates with blue strips, to be used as transportation assets to some areas or at some times especially at daytime, during national or very big religious program. All vehicles to the area in the night or ordinary days to be permissible.
Consequently, our Dear President Mahama, please act decisively and decidedly with alacrity, as the Highest Constitutional National Leader and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ghana, as nominated by God for the interest of Ghana or for public good.
Sir, a Reset Agenda is primarily about changing the narrative in Ghana, thus, it is also a tool for mindset revolution. So, among others the concept of Think Big, Think Positive, so the need for decided and decisive actions with fairness and integrity cannot be over emphasized.
The name National Cathedral denotes a National Asset and not a Christian Asset to be handed over to the Christian Group for them to ask fellow Christians to contribute for its completion and own it. Not sir it is a collective asset of the Ghanaian, since the activities at there and its chain are going to be the benefits of the Nation.
So, it will be a very big mistake against the interest of Ghana. Sir as the President of Ghana, are you saying that if the Christians should own the place, are they going to pay to the State for the losses made so far, at this very Prime Area earmarked for a National Project for Public Good?
Sir, as the Chairman of National Security Council, you should be fully aware of the making of a Deep State (a making of a State within a State) of 4 Million united Small Scale Miners and their foreign accomplices/ affiliates who are destroying the environment, rivers. Yet over 30 Million people hence with Christians as majority but divided thus rendered confuse, hence made docile or impotent to get you to act decisively and decidedly.
Since, despite the stealing of God’s capital decreed for the citizens by the Small Scale Miners and their foreign accomplices, besides Ghana is a candidate for a potential risk of existential threat to the Nation, God’s message of Love thy neighbor as thyself has escaped their minds . Thus Mr President, I am afraid, you have really very not good citizens. Hence, the Reset Agenda must see to reset the minds of Ghanaians thus need for a Mindset Revolution, thanks to God; the National Cathedral is the tool for, the best legacy for Ghana.
Interestingly, we are told 70% of the population of Ghana, is of the Christian Faith and less than 30% is of the Islam Faith. Ghana is a majoritarian democratic system, so 50% plus one vote makes a Presidential Candidate, the winner as President-Elect in a Presidential Election. So the Christians are in the majority and the Muslims are part of the remaining 30% Mighty Minority. So the Christian Faith as the majority, should carry the day.
Strangely, the Minority Religious Group like the Minority Small Scale Miners of 4 million operators and their associates seemed to be carrying the day, since they seemed to be more powerful than the divided Majority Group of the Christian Faith.
So, since the establishment of the Fourth Republic, a lot of money has been spent by the various regimes of the NDC and NPP on the yearly Haji Pilgrimages. Also for the Construction of an old Haji Village and now a new Haji Village, under construction to satisfy a minority religious group for the yearly Haji Pilgrimages with no direct revenue streams and other benefits to Ghana, aside the benefits to the individual Muslim pilgrims. Among the Muslims, just a few very rich ones, who kept going to Meca or the Muslim’s holy land every year. Cry the Beloved Country.
Ghana will continue to be spending a lot of money on the yearly Haji Pilgrimage and the Haji Village, so Mr President, as the Head of the Executive Arm of Government, please tell Ghanaians how much has been spent on yearly Haji Pilgrimages since 1993 and the Haji Village(s) in Accra and Tamale since 1993. Otherwise Parliament especially the mighty Minority Group under the able leadership of Lawyer Osahene Afyenyo Markins on behalf of the citizens of Ghana needs to invite the Sector Minister to tell the nation how much has been spent on the Haji Pilgrimage and Haji Village (new and old and the source of funding?.
Mr President as a good historian you should be very aware that various Governments or Administrations in the Fourth Republic in order to court the votes of the people of the Islam Faith also came out with the declarations of holidays for major Islam events.
So it is very strange that with all these huge expenditures from the tax payers for the minority Group of the Islam Faith, Ghanaians are still told that Ghana is a Secular State. The cacophony against the National Cathedral must be stopped by the Champions of the Reset Agenda, since it has an element of mindset revolution. Hence, this letter to you, as one of the Champions of the Reset Agenda
So, it is high time our National Leaders especially, you as the President of Ghana and your affiliates are educated that the Almighty God hence the God of both the Christian and Muslim has given Ghana numerous natural resources for public good, hence it is vested in the President of Ghana to ensure judicious usage in a fairly manner as appropriate. So the mantle resides on you to do so Sir.
Ghana is endowed by God with minerals like Gold, Diamond, Bauxite, Manganese, Lithium Salt, Iron, Granite, a resource like the sea for sea ports for import and export of goods and people transportation etc. rivers for multipurpose like hydroelectric power, irrigation, fishing for farming, drinking water, then petroleum oil/gas etc.
So the revenue from the Minerals/Petroleum Oil Wealth should be used to complete the Multipurpose National Cathedral Project, as a landmark heritage project, a visible physical asset that will be inherited by future generations, for at least for the celebration of Remembrance Day for the current generations thus celebration of Remembrance Day from babies to adults who may not be alive in 120 years’ time, thus their forgone ancestors. So it will be our shared or collective legacy to the unborn generations.
Best Regards.
Yours obedient subject,
Signed
Major Mohammed Bogobiri (Rtd)
