THE MANYORO BUILDER’S WISDOM

In Manyoro, no one builds a house in one day. It takes days, if not weeks, to mould blocks. A foundation is dug and blocks are laid one at a time. After months, a house stands. A house that is hastily built will not last. The young man who wants to build a house in one day builds nothing.

I did not become a writer overnight. I have more than 200 articles on Modern Ghana. They came one article at a time. One sleepless night at a time. One data bundle at a time. One trashcan defeat at a time. Now I have a library.

THE LIE EXPOSED
Social media tells our youth that Rome can be built in a day. That when they travel to the US, they will be millionaires. One connection and you are successful. But that is scaffolding, not Rome. Real Rome takes time and effort.

3 REASONS WHY WE ABANDON OUR ROME

1. We Underrate Small Beginnings:

We want instant success. We want 10,000 clicks on day one. We want a V8 on day one. But Zechariah 4:10 says, “Do not despise these small beginnings.” My first article in the trashcan was my small beginning. If I had despised it, I would not have a library today.

2. We Compare Our Chapter 1 To Another’s Chapter 20:

When we see someone’s finished Rome, we think it was built in a single day We didn’t see their 10 years of hidden bricklaying. Comparison is distraction; it kills construction. Build your Rome at your own pace.

3. We Love The Picture, But Hate The Process:

Everybody loves a finished house. Nobody wants to sweat and mould blocks under the scorching sun. Everybody wants to be called “Author” but nobody wants to write when data is finished and sleep calls. We love Rome’s glory, but we hate Rome’s grind.

THE ROME FORMULA – 3 LAWS FOR BUILDING ANYTHING GREAT

1. The Law of One Brick {Consistency}: Rome was not built with 10,000 bricks in a day. Rome was built with one brick every day for 10,000 days. Your power is not in intensity, but in consistency. One article at a time. One kind act at a time. One prayer at a time. Don’t try to write 7 articles in a day. Write one article well, every week. That is how Manyoro rises.
2. The Law of The Invisible Foundation {Patience}: The tallest buildings have the deepest, ugliest foundations that no one sees. Months pass and it looks like nothing is happening.. People will mock you: “Where is your house?” But the wise builder knows – what you build deep, you build to last. My trashcan years were my foundation. God was digging me deep so He could raise me high.
3. The Law of The Unseen Builder {Faithfulness}: Noah built the Ark while people mocked him. Nehemiah built the wall with one hand and held a sword with the other. Great builders build whether they feel like it or not. Most of my articles are written in the night even when I am tired. That’s discipline. That’s patience. That’s commitment. That’s faithfulness. That’s Rome.

BUILDING YOUR OWN ROME STARTING TODAY

Pick Your Rome Today: What is your Rome? Your ministry? Your family? Your education? Your business? Don’t be a Jack of all trades. You cannot build everything at once. Pick one Rome for this season. My Rome is WRITING.

Lay One Brick Today: What is one brick you can lay today? Not 10, but 1. Read one chapter. Write one paragraph. Save 10 cedis. Encourage one person. No procrastination. Rome is built today, not tomorrow.

Protect Your Building Site: If you are sick, you seek a doctor, not a carpenter. Stop letting people who have never built anything tell you how to build. Stop scrolling and watching others build their Rome while your own site lies empty. Guard your morning time, your data, your fire.
