GES releases national harmonised prospectus for 2026/2027 SHS, SHTS admissions

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the National Harmonised Prospectus for students preparing to enter Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The prospectus contains the list of essential items required by newly admitted students, covering both boarding and day categories.

In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by the Head of Public Relations at the GES, Mr Daniel Fenyi, the Service urged parents and prospective students to study the prospectus carefully and make the necessary preparations before the start of the new academic year.

The GES also directed schools and other relevant stakeholders to comply with the requirements contained in the prospectus to promote a smooth, uniform and standardised admission process across the country.

According to the Service, the release of the prospectus ahead of the school placement exercise is intended to give parents and students sufficient guidance on the items that will be required during enrolment.

The GES said the move would ensure that students placed in SHS and SHTS were adequately prepared to commence the 2026/2027 academic year.
