Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex have moved from USA back to the UK with their children. The Sussexes have splashed out a lot of money to make the move.
A few days ago, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan arrived in the UK with their children and dogs. The move came just a few days after the announcement that the Sussexes would be returning to Harry’s homeland after six years in exile. The royals are said to have shelled out a six-figure sum for the journey. This is according to the US website "Page Six". The report states that the Sussexes are said to have chartered a private jet to fly from the United States to the UK. The aircraft is said to have accommodated up to 13 passengers and featured five beds and two toilets.
Prince Harry and Meghan returned on a private flight
According to the report, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are said to have paid $12,000 per hour for the flight, which would amount to a total cost of $120,000. An insider told “Page Six” that the Sussexes had opted for a private flight so that they could easily take their dogs, Pula and Mia, with them.
The royal couple’s two children, seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet, have reportedly already been enrolled at a school. Lessons are due to start in September. Harry and Meghan are looking forward to their children spending more time in the country that forms such an important part of their family history”, a spokeswoman for the couple recently told the New York Times.
It is not certain whether the Sussexes will stay in the UK permanently following their move there. According to their spokesperson, the couple have decided to spend “an extended period” in Harry’s home country. This follows “a wonderful trip with family and friends this summer”. During Harry’s visit home in July, the Sussexes also met King Charles.
For Duchess Meghan, the return to the UK had apparently already become an issue even before the move. According to media reports, she will not, after all, be taking on a role she was due to play in the Netflix series ‘‘The Gentlemen“. The reason for the withdrawal of the offer is said to have been the fierce backlash from Harry’s home country.
