Twifo Hemang SHTS appeals for vehicle for administrative works

Mrs Agnes Amoah, Headmistress of Twifo Hemang Senior High Technical School (SHTS), has appealed to the Government and other stakeholders to provide the school with an administrative vehicle to facilitate its operations.

She made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Twifo Hemang in the Twifo Hemang-Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region.

Mrs Amoah said the absence of an official vehicle had become a major challenge for the school, compelling management to hire vehicles at a cost to transport examination materials to and from the District Education Directorate.

She noted that the situation also affected the school’s ability to effectively participate in official programmes and ceremonies that required transportation.

She said any activity that required the use of a vehicle placed the school in a difficult situation and needed urgent attention.

The Headmistress further disclosed that the school was facing shortages of furniture and beds, which continued to affect both academic and residential facilities.

Despite the challenges, Mrs Amoah expressed gratitude to the Government for awarding a contract for the construction of a boys’ dormitory to improve accommodation infrastructure in the school.

Twifo Hemang Senior High Technical School was established by the Twifo Hemang Traditional Council on January 11, 2005, with an initial enrolment of eight students. The school was subsequently absorbed by the Government.
