The Member of Parliament for Kpandai Constituency, Hon. Matthew Nyindam, through the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman, Ken Jato Jato Taligma Kennedy, has donated GH¢12,000 to Kpandai Senior High School to procure uniforms and band equipment for the school's Cadet Corps.
Presenting the donation on behalf of the MP, Chairman Kennedy urged the school's management to ensure the items are put to good use. He also encouraged the school authorities to instill discipline among students, particularly members of the Cadet Corps, to enhance the school's image and reputation.
Receiving the donation, the Headmaster of Kpandai Senior High School, Mr. Sulemana Alidu, expressed profound appreciation to the MP for the timely intervention. He disclosed that the Cadet Corps had been facing serious logistical challenges, forcing the school to struggle each year to secure the resources needed to participate in Independence Day celebrations.
He further revealed that the school has been unable to take part in regional cadet drills for more than two years due to the lack of the necessary uniforms and equipment.
Mr. Alidu commended Hon. Nyindam for responding promptly to the school's request and assured him that the uniforms and band equipment would be used responsibly to strengthen the Cadet Corps and improve students' participation in extracurricular activities.
Chairman Kennedy also encouraged the students to remain disciplined, make good use of the support provided, and serve as ambassadors of the school. He further called on them to appreciate the MP's generosity and continue supporting Hon. Matthew Nyindam in the 2028 general elections.
